All pilots, whether they fly for pleasure, business, or as a career, must take a flight review every 2 years (sometimes called a Biennial Flight Review or BFR). The Flight Review Checkride app delivers valuable information in a question and answer flashcard format, providing an excellent study and preparation tool for students, pilots, and instructors alike who are preparing for or issuing the flight review required by FAA regulation 14 CFR 61.56. Based on the popular Flight Review Oral Exam Guide book by Jackie Spanitz, flight instructors and FAA authorized flight review administrators will find this app to be extremely helpful in developing a well-rounded flight review tailored to the applicants needs. Applicants will learn what to expect in their upcoming flight review, refresh their knowledge, and renew their confidence, all of which will ensure safe practices while in flight. Also includes current FAA guidance on flight reviews including AC 61-98 Currency Requirements and Guidance for the Flight Review and Instrument Proficiency Check, Conducting an Effective Flight Review, AC 61-91 Wings Pilot Proficiency Program, and a Flight Review Checklist. Other additions include information on special flight permits, ADs, EFBs, airport markings and signs, runway incursion avoidance, risk management, and a checklist to reflect the Airman Certification Standards. The flight review must include 1 hour of ground instruction as well as 1 hour of flight instruction. The information provided in this app may be used by instructors to fulfill these requirements. The FAA offers different options for completing the Flight Review, and this app covers all of these in detail. International pilots can use this app to help familiarize themselves with flight operations in the United States. This app includes the following features:
• Information for Pilots wanting to fly without a medical certificate.
• Information pertinent to today’s operational environment and areas of emphasis such as human factors, decision making, risk management and scenario-based training.
• The FAA’s “Conducting an Effective Flight Review” guidance document provides specific recommendations for the ground review, flight activities, post-flight debriefing, and pilot improvement plans.
• Questions-and-answer flashcard format for the ground review portion of the flight review is an excellent refresher for the information all pilots need to know on the following subjects: Certificates and Documents, Weather, Aircraft Operations, Flight Operations, and Regulations.
• Sample written quiz.
• For instructors, helpful recommendations on how to conduct the flight review, with a synopsis of airman certification standards for the maneuvers at both the Private and Commercial level.
• Compatible with iOS phones and tablets, this app teaches applicants not only what to expect, but also how to exhibit subject mastery and confidence. It identifies candidates’ strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in their aeronautical knowledge, which increases study efficiency.

App features:
•More than 250 questions are included in flashcard format with succinct, ready responses.
•Questions from any subject can be flagged for further study into a separate group.
•Includes all the questions and answers from the popular book, Flight Review Oral Exam Guide, by Jackie Spanitz.
